Sue Stichbury Retreat – April 2025
We couldn’t be happier to announce that we will again be hosting a retreat with Sue Stichbury.
We will revisit the beautiful village of Rye, on the South Coast of England, among the cobbled streets and smuggler’s taverns,
and Sue has created another bespoke project especially for you to stitch. We will be hosting from The George Hotel, one of the most captivating hideaways; perfect for design lovers, foodies and the creatively inclined.
Lots of time will be made for unwinding and enjoying a relaxing stitch, with planned visits to Lamb House (home of author Henry James) and one of the local world-renowned gardens: Sissinghurst or Great Dixter.
Rye additionally has plenty to explore: along the cobbled pathways, you will find many boutique shops, quaint tearooms, historical churches and antique shops. Special textile trips will be made to Pincushion’s shop, Merchant and Mills as well as a secret fabric brocante treasure trove!
The cost of £2000 is all-inclusive and can be paid with a payment plan if desired. Meals will be hosted in private rooms at the most prestigious restaurants in town and the accommodation at The George is classically English and divine. The payment plan is available to early registrations (before the end of November 2024).
